Dogs from all over the country will be at Maude Cobb Activity Center this weekend for Longview Kennel Club's annual all-breed dog show. More than 110 different breeds will compete for the dog that most closely matches the standard for each breed exhibited.
Tyler Obedience Training Club will also conduct an all-breed obedience trial at the Longview Exhibit Building. Activities range from basic obedience to the more advanced classes involving retrieving scented objects and performing jumps.
Vendors will be on-site selling pet supplies and accessories. Raffle items and a silent auction will be held to benefit the animals at the Humane Society of Northeast Texas.
All events begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, and continue until approximately 3:30 p.m. both days. Admission fee is $2 for adults, $1 for children under 12 years, or $5 for an entire family. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society of Northeast Texas. |
