Atwood's Farm and Ranch Store in Kilgore is hosting a Pet Adoption Day, Saturday September 22nd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Furry friends from the Humane Society of Northeast Texas will be purring or wagging their way into your hearts, hoping to find a forever home with a special human to call their own.

"This is a wonderful opportunity not only for the Humane Society to reach out to more people, but also for our wonderful pets to get more exposure," explained Roxanne Hutson, Executive Director. "So many people think that an animal shelter is too depressing to visit or that our facility only takes in strays that nobody would want anyway. Adoption events like this allow us to show people we have great pets, we just need to find great adopters!"
