Zippy's Exxon Station employees Lucy Cunningham, left, and Amanda Shaw are pictured with the winning prize of a recent raffle contest to benefit HSNTx. Lucy was the lucky winner of the Smoke 'N Grill, which was donated by a local Coors distributor, when her name was pulled from dozens of entries. Over $65 was raised by the raffle.
"We extend our congratulations to Lucy and our heartfelt gratitude to all the customers at Zippy's who give so generously to help the animals in our shelter each month," said Roxanne Hutson, Executive Director. "Zippy's manager, Karen Walker, keeps coming up with new ways to help us promote our shelter and raise money for our needs. She's such a compassionate animal advocate."
The money raised from the raffle will be used to purchase flea preventative and worming medications for the many dogs and cats in the shelter.
Stop in and say hi to Karen, Lucy and the rest of the Zippy's crew next time you're out on Highway 259 in Longview. By the way, Lucy, what's for dinner?.... |
