Nancy Mellott, left, member of the Longview Kennel Club presents HSNTx Executive Director, Roxanne Hutson with a donation check of $3,000. Each year the Longview Kennel Club gives the shelter a generous donation from the proceeds of their annual dog show.

"We are so grateful to the members of the Longview Kennel Club for their support," stated Hutson. "They put a lot of long hours and hard work each year into planning and hosting one of the best dog shows in the area. Their contribution goes a long way in helping us purchase the necessary supplies we need to care for the many pets in our shelter."

This year's show, held in July, was one of the best attended, reported Mellott. Plans are already underway for making next year's dog show bigger and better yet.
