Local teens, Miranda and Lauren (left and center), are assisted by Monica of the Longview Public Library at displaying a couple of the blankets the Teen Advisory Board made and donated to the shelter's pets. Each year the library, with assistance from the teen volunteers, holds a craft program for young children. This year the older group decided they too wanted to get in on the creativity and fun while helping needy animals in the process. They created dozens of warm, soft blankets of various sizes and colors in a matter of a few hours.
