Pictured here is Rain, a beautiful calico cat brought to the Humane Society of Northeast Texas by Longview Animal Control Officers. As you can see, Rain favors her right paw, and for very good reason. Her right leg is badly injured and needs treatment. She is a loving, gentle, and even-tempered cat who enjoys petting more than eating. She is active now but would be even more so were she not injured. Rain's injury will likely require surgery.
While the Humane Society of Northeast Texas does not have a veterinary staff, there is a Medical Fund where monies donated are used to pay for treatments for pets like Rain. Because of the generosity of our community, we are able to help adoptable, loving animals get the medical treatment they need. This Fund is limited, however, and needs constant replenishment to ensure money is available for treatment.
Please help ensure Rain has a chance for a new life free of injury. Donations can be dropped off at or mailed to the Humane Society of Northeast Texas located at 303 Enterprise Street in Longview, or via our website at www.hsntx.org. Please call 903-297-2170 for more information on Rain or the Humane Society's Medical Fund.
