| Volunteer Orientation July 3, 2009 | | If you have a fondness for felines or a passion for pooches, the Humane Society of Northeast Texas wants you! Volunteer orientation and training will be held Tuesday, July 7th at 6:30 pm at the animal shelter, 303 Enterprise Street in Longview. Participants must be at least 18 years of age, complete a volunteer application, and pass a background check.
Volunteers are needed who want to make a difference in the lives of the thousands of homeless animals the busy shelter receives each year. Take a dog for a walk, give a puppy a bath, cuddle with a kitty, assist at off-site adoption events – there are countless ways to help. Volunteers are also needed for fundraisers, assisting customers, or providing general office support.
To receive a volunteer application or for more information, stop by the shelter or contact Rhonda Spitler at the Humane Society of Northeast Texas, 903-297-2170.
